Katie & Jeremy sat with me at Starbucks and told me about their wedding plans. They were getting married at Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, WA and I could not have been more excited. I LOVE the zoo, and it was easy for me to know that I was going to love spending the day with these two.

The morning of the wedding, I walked into the bride’s hotel room and it was honestly the most peaceful wedding morning I had ever seen. Katie and her 4 bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done and were taking some time sitting on the bed chatting. Katie’s lovely mama was there making sure the bride had everything she needed. It was calm, it was easy, and we felt so at home with these two. Jeremy is no different, his attention to the people around him and care for his friends and family is evident. Katie & Jeremy were not stressed, they were not overwhelmed, they were very much involved in the moments of the day. Allowing themselves to soak it all in and be present as things happened.

Jeremy’s brother-in-law officiated the ceremony, and I always love when the officiant is close to the couple. The ceremony is so personal and I definitely cried as they exchanged their vows. As the sun set in Tacoma, these two danced the night away with their friends and family, and maybe even took a photo next to the jellyfish. Because ZOO WEDDINGS ARE SO MUCH FUN! This Point Defiance Wedding was one of my favorites from 2015!
