Alison & Ja’Rel : Seattle Wedding Photographer

Alison & Ja’Rel’s Wedding was one of the highlights of my summer. They booked me over a year before their wedding, so I had been anticipating their wedding for a while. Alison & Ja’Rel currently live in California, so besides the initial meeting and their engagement session, I had only corresponded over the phone and e-mail. When I remember that I really have only spent 3 days with them, it is so surprising, because these two became friends. Their wedding was in downtown Seattle at the Washington Athletic Club. Family and friends flew in from all over the country to celebrate these two and their life together.

After the First Look on the rooftop balcony of their suite, we headed to Pike Place Market for a few pictures by the iconic “Public Market” sign, and then walked around to get some more city shots. Once we returned back to the W.A.C, we spent some time on the basketball court with the bridal party. Yes, all dressed up, they played a game of basketball and the bride was even able to score some points.

The ceremony was beautiful and intimate. The wedding was officiated by Pastor Justin Garland, who just so happens to be one of my good friends. It was wonderful to see him and his wife Cara at the wedding, and he did a fabulous job officiating! After they said “I Do”, guests headed upstairs for Cocktail Hour, and the bride and groom took a minute to sip champagne and sign the marriage license.

Then started the reception. Dinner was delish, the details of the place cards, menus, and centerpieces were immaculate. The toasts were some of the best that I have ever heard. Hilarious, sweet, and full of stories and memories. It is obvious that these two have made an impact on their friends and families. Then came the dancing. Honestly, this wedding had by far the best dancing I have ever attended. Alison & Ja’Rel both know how to have a good time, and their friends and family are no different.

After the bouquet and garter toss, I said goodbye to the couple and they gave me big hugs. It was a perfect day. Thank you Alison & Ja’Rel, you are the best. Honestly, I am so blessed to have been able to have the opportunity to celebrate with you and to capture the details of your wedding. You have become friends. Let’s go on a double date when you visit Washington next, for some coffee or some cheesecake. Can’t wait to see you again!

A Big Thank You to Janel Ellefsen of Occasions, LLC. for her work in putting together a seamless day. I HIGHLY recommend working with her if you are looking for a Wedding Coordinator!

Also, I was able to work with Aaron Horton of Aaron Horton Productions during this wedding. He is an AMAZING videographer and is one of the easiest people I have ever worked with.

Here are my favorites from this beautiful wedding!
