Kristy & Craig : Trinity Tree Farm Wedding

This Trinity Tree Farm wedding is SURE to give you all the heart eyes. We know it does for us!

Kristy & Craig have been our clients for a few years. When they got engaged, Kristy texted me an told me that they wanted to meet up & we were ecstatic. These two are two of the best people you will ever meet.

They chose the Barn at Trinity Tree Farm for their wedding in Issaquah. It was PERFECT.

The forecast was calling for rain all week, so the ceremony was set to be inside. We arrived on the property and while we had our rain gear packed in the car, we got lucky with clear skies as soon as we were supposed to start photos. In fact, the overcast light is some of my very favorite and allowed us to walk around so much of the property for photos!

Kristy and Craig chose to not see each other until they walked down the aisle, so we photographed the family portraits & bridal party portraits after the ceremony. It ended up being perfectly at “Golden Hour” so we lucked out and had the very best light of the day for all of their photos together.

These two not only had such a beautiful wedding, but they had one of the most FUN dance parties that we have ever photographed. Their DJ was INCREDIBLE. Their dance floor was packed, and people were having the BEST time.

We are so grateful they chose us to be their photographers, because we truly do think of them as friends. They are warm, welcoming, and so kind. Also. They make us laugh so hard because they are two of the most genuine people. We truly are the lucky ones.

Now, let me show you how gorgeous they are.

Best of 2017 : Weddings

Wow, am I really writing this blog right now? It seems honestly like just yesterday I was meeting with all of these couples over cheeseboards & coffee to talk about their 2017 Weddings! This year felt like it FLEW by faster than normal.

This year we knew we were going to be selling our house & moving in the middle of wedding season, so we decided we were only going to photograph 12 weddings. Well, because we had some of the SWEETEST couples contact us, we photographed 14 beautiful weddings. Some were people we had never met before, some were longtime friends, a few were referrals from our past brides & grooms. But they were all so perfect.

Each year it is so hard to take all of the images we have from our weddings & condense it down into one blog post. But we are so in love with our clients, the moments they trust us to capture, and the memories we make along the way – we LOVE being able to show you a glimpse into what we spend our year dreaming about, photographing, and doing! From the details, to the couples, & the emotions – we truly do have the best job in the world.

2017 Brides & Grooms, You are PERFECTION. We are so grateful to have met you & been trusted to capture the first day of your marriage. We love calling you our friends.

Now, grab a cup of coffee, a warm blanket, & snuggle down to look through some of the most beautiful images of the most gorgeous couples!

We’re not just your wedding photographers, we’re your friends. We work with couples who love to celebrate; who we’d love to go on a double date with; and who we could imagine becoming our friends. This friendship results in a personalized, stress-free experience and images that perfectly captures your day.

Downtown Seattle Rooftop Styled Shoot with Kaleb Norman James Design

When one of your best friend is also your very favorite wedding designer, it’s basically like every day is Christmas.

When Kaleb mentioned us doing a styled shoot, I was 1,000% on board. If you haven’t seen his work, first – get your life together. Second, follow him on Instagram : @kalebnormanjames and just get lost for hours looking at the beautiful things he creates every weekend.

The styled shoot was planned for January 4th. Knowing Seattle, we were prepared for rain. But we got incredibly lucky with beautiful sunshine. Don’t let it fool you though, Madeline, our gorgeous model, was such a trooper because it was FREEZING.

The Hotel Sorrento in Downtown Seattle opened up their rooftop ballroom and outdoor space for us to use. Yessie Libby was our glam squad, and I just want her to help me get ready every day. BHLDN sent us two amazing dresses to use. Kaleb & his team created a table that I want to spend every meal eating at, along with a bouquet that gives me all of the heart eyes. Madeline Minkema could not have been a more perfect model for the shoot. Krissanna Elizabeth provided all of the invitations, menu cards, and paper goods.

The shoot was featured on Cake & Lace earlier this summer, and that was such a treat! To view the feature, click on this link :

These are truly some of my favorite images. Not only was I given the most beautiful things to photograph, there is something about shooting for fun that takes the stress off, and allows creativity to just flow!

Now, here are the images. I just want to jump into my computer every time I see one of these images. Love them so much!
