Tara & Darren : Mountain View Manor Wedding

They met on the train…

The sweetest beginning to this beautiful love story. I’ve been waiting 8 years to write this blog post. The day my best friend got married.

Last December, Darren proposed to Tara during a family photo shoot & we were able to capture the proposal. It was one of my favorite moments – until June 2nd, 2018. Because their wedding day is one I will never forget. Tara was the most beautiful bride. The first look, when Darren saw Tara for the first time is one moment that I will never forget. Their handwritten vows were perfect. The toasts were full of laughter, and some tears. The dances were sweet, memorable, and the dance party was SO FUN. It truly was a celebration. Of two people starting a life together. Of families getting to watch as Tara & Darren’s marriage began. Of friends coming together to celebrate these two and their incredible love story.  This will forever be one of my favorite days.

Tara asked if I would be her Maid-of-Honor & I obviously said yes. But I also knew that Kyle & I would be the wedding photographers and knew that we would never regret the decision to do both! Being able to capture her wedding day was one of the best gifts I could have ever given her – and I was so happy to hear and see her reactions when she saw the photos for the first time. I switched between bridesmaid dress & photographer dress a few times throughout the wedding day & would do it all again to be able to not only be her maid-of-honor but also her photographer. It was worth every second of running around.

The wedding was held at Mountain View Manor in Enumclaw, WA. The team of vendors who they hired for their wedding was seriously my All-Star Dream Cast of people. The weather was perfect & every detail was full of thoughtfulness and beauty!

Cascadia Pizza Co. : Enumclaw, WA

You know how much I love to share about businesses that we LOVE and Cascadia Pizza Co. is at the TOP of our favorites list! Our friends and past wedding clients are actually the owners and have created a business that is not only amazing food – but one of our favorite wedding caterers! People love nothing more than celebrating a wedding with some of the most amazing pizza, appetizers, and salads. It’s the perfect food for a celebration!

We teamed up to create some beautiful images for their branding & marketing materials and as a bonus, I got to eat delish pizza the whole time I was shooting. Talk about dream job! We are absolutely obsessed with their pizza. It is fresh & flavorful. You need to try it, it honestly will change your life! My favorite is the Wenatchee and Kyle’s favorite is the Northwestern!

You can find Cascadia on Instagram or Facebook to follow them and see where they will be posted up next so that you can sample their pizzas. OR if you are planning a wedding or event and needing some food that everyone will enjoy, you can contact them for some information on their catering packages!

The Roesch Family : Summer Family Photos

Summer is the best, don’t you agree?

I mean, I also love rainy days at home snuggled up under some blankets with a bowl of popcorn and a good book. But – there is something so magical about warm sunshine that makes smiles bigger and the days longer. Plus, the golden light in summer is perfection.

Being able to photograph The Roesch Family is one of my favorite things. Photographing our best friends is something that makes me feel really happy! It’s so fun to be able to see the changes that happen in Croix between each photo shoot. And this one is definitely my favorite shoot to date.

Summertime Family Photo Shoots are my FAV.

Ready to see some of this cute fam?

Lauren & Kyle : Snowy Maternity Session

Lauren & Kyle were some of the first people who trusted me to photograph their wedding. I was able to capture them as they said “I Do” almost 5 years ago! Wow, I am so grateful that they trusted me when I was just starting out and I am still in love with their images! Over the past couple years, I have been able to photograph them a few times – but this session is one of my favorites. Lauren is pregnant with their baby girl and she will be arriving in March!

For their maternity session, I wanted to make sure that we were outdoors. Kyle is an avid outdoorsman, and I felt like the scenery that the Pacific Northwest has to offer totally fit with their style. We got lucky with a giant snowstorm a few days before their session – and the snow could not have been more beautiful! I absolutely love these images, I love these two people, and I am so excited to meet their baby girl!

Best of 2016 : Portraits

Over the past 12 months – I have been able to not only pursue my passion of being a wedding & portrait photographer – but I have built some friendships with some of the best clients. We are so grateful for not only a year full of weddings, but also being able to have over 100 portrait shoots in the midst of it all.

These images have been taken over all 12 months of the year – some in the freezing cold, some in the hot sun, some in the midst of a rainstorm – and every shoot has been something I am so grateful for!

Thank you so much for trusting me to capture all of your seasons. From finding out you were expecting a baby and your growing baby bump, to the first days of your baby being home as a newborn, from your family & children growing up, to engagements and couples and even 25 year anniversaries.

Two times this year I hosted mini-sessions and both days were full of back-to-back sessions with beautiful families. Two of my favorite days of the year! They are always such a success – our hope is to do 4 mini-session days in 2017 to allow more people to be in on the action!

Now – for the images.

But first – one more time.

If you are interested in booking a portrait session for 2017, we are now booking for all months of the year!
