Amber & John.

These two are so incredibly loved and so incredibly wonderful. Their April wedding was one of my favorites and they said “I Do” surrounded by hundreds of people who genuinely think that they are the best thing ever. Our sometimes challenging Seattle weather was on it’s best behavior and sun broke through the clouds for the majority of the day!

They got ready at the Courtyard Marriott in Downtown Tacoma. This is by far one of my favorite hotels to photograph the beginning of the wedding day. The rooms have beautiful decor + large windows that let in beautiful natural light.

From there, we headed around Tacoma for some portraits of the bride & groom, and then to the Pacific Lutheran University campus where the ceremony was held for some photos on the grounds with the bridal party before the ceremony started. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL! Loved all of the brick buildings and natural feel of the trees. Not to mention, the chapel where the ceremony was held is perfection. Beautiful tall ceilings, gorgeous window light, and pews make for such a classically beautiful setting for a wedding.

The reception was held at The Star Center, and friends and family danced the night away. Both sets of parents gave the sweetest toasts and I may have shed a tear listening to such sweet words from John’s Dad expressing how proud he was of his son and his new daughter.
